Gurgaon: Four men were arrested after a violent clash involving firing broke out between two groups over a garbage collection dispute at Tulip Chowk in Sector 70 on May 8.Police said the clash took place around 11.30am on SPR Road between rival groups from Kadarpur and Rithoj villages. The groups allegedly attacked each other with sticks and lathis following an argument over garbage collection in the area.Several vehicles parked nearby were vandalised during the violence. Four cars sustained heavy damage, with their windows smashed. Gunshots were also fired during the altercation, police said.A team from Badshahpur police station rushed to the spot after receiving information about the clash. Both sides later filed complaints accusing each other of assault, firing and issuing death threats. Two FIRs were registered under relevant sections of the BNS and the Arms Act on the complaints of Pradeep and Navdeep alias Golu.Police said Pradeep suffered a gunshot injury during the clash, while Navdeep alias Golu sustained injuries in the assault.During the investigation, police arrested Navdeep alias Golu, a resident of Kadarpur, on May 12 in one of the FIRs. In the second case, Sandeep of Tigra village, Monu of Rithoj village and Pradeep of Rithoj village were arrested between May 9 and May 12.Police recovered a pistol allegedly used in the firing from Navdeep’s possession. Police said four criminal cases are already registered against him in Gurgaon.
