Nagpur: Four people linked to Nagpur remain stranded amid the ongoing West Asia conflict, while 27 others returned to India so far, officials from the district administration confirmed.Out of the 7 currently in West Asia, officials said 4 individuals in Bahrain informed authorities that they are settled there and do not intend to return to India at present. District disasater management officer Ankush Gawande said that another three remain stranded as they continue to face uncertainty over flight availability. One of them is currently in Doha, while the other two are in Abu Dhabi. Authorities said their flights were repeatedly cancelled or rescheduled after the conflict intensified, leaving them unable to return. The affected individuals were in different countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Bahrain. Several among those who returned landed in Mumbai and Delhi and are expected to travel onwards to Nagpur in the coming days. Officials said most of them travelled to West Asian countries for tourism when the conflict escalated, resulting in widespread flight disruptions across the region. The district administration confirmed that it is in touch with both the state and Central govts to coordinate assistance and facilitate the safe return of the remaining travellers. Officials said they are monitoring the situation and flight availability to ensure those stranded can return once services stabilise.
