Patna: Bihar govt on Sunday ordered a reshuffle in the state police department, transferring and posting 37 police officers, including several SDPOs, DSPs and ASPs. A significant number of officers have been assigned to key units based in Patna.Among the major Patna postings, Sunil Kumar Pandey has been appointed DSP in Special Security Group, Patna. Raj Kumar Sah, who was serving as SDPO Sadar, Ara, has been promoted to the post of superintendent of police in Vigilance Investigation Bureau (VIB), Patna.Anand Kumar Pandey, formerly SDPO Sadar, Begusarai, has been posted as additional superintendent of police (ASP), Economic Offences Unit, Patna. Similarly, Ashok Kumar Das, earlier SDPO Daudnagar, Aurangabad, has been appointed ASP in VIB, Patna.Special branch in Patna will also see several new appointments. Ajay Kumar Singh, Sanjay Kumar Jha, Raj Kumar-2, Ravi Kumar and Kanhaiya Singh have been posted as senior officers in the unit.Sanjay Kumar Pandey, formerly SDPO Sadar, Samastipur, has been transferred as ASP, BPTC-1, Patna, while Pravendra Bharti, formerly SDPO Sadar, Madhepura, has been posted as ASP in Economic Offences Unit, Patna.Sanjay Kumar Jaiswal has been posted as DSP with STF, Patna. Other officers have been assigned to VIB and other specialised units in the state capital.Separately, SDPO Vinita Sinha, who had taken action against a LJP(RV) MLA, has been removed from her post without getting a new posting. Kartikeya has been appointed SDPO, Muzaffarpur-2.
