Noida: Three Russian military aircraft landed at Noida International Airport on Thursday as New Delhi prepares to host BRICS Summit on Sept 12 to 13.A Russian IL-76 military transport aircraft with a team of military officials was in the city to review preparations and security arrangements for the Summit ahead of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit. Putin is likely to hold a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday.This is the first time an international aircraft has landed at Noida airport.The airport’s international terminal is nearing completion, and international flights are expected by the end of this year. Before international flights begin, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) team will inspect the preparations and safety measures and grant approval.Noida airport started commercial flights on June 15, and the cargo services started two days later.
