CHENNAI: A magnitute-3 earthquake struck Tamil Nadu‘s Krishnagiri district on Wednesday evening, with mild tremors felt in parts of the district and adjoining areas of Karnataka.The quake occurred at 7. 52pm at a depth of 10km, with its epicentre located in the Denkanikottai-Hosur region near the Tamil Nadu-Karnataka border.There were no immediate reports of any damage to property or injuries, officials said.A magnitude 3.0 earthquake is generally considered minor and is unlikely to cause significant damage, though it can be felt by people living close to the epicentre.
