Jhunjhunu: Three people were killed and more than five were injured in two separate accidents in Fatehpur’s Sadar police station area of Sikar district Wednesday evening. Two youths were killed and two were seriously injured in a violent collision between a truck and a Thar jeep. One person was killed and three were injured in a collision between a public transport bus and another jeep a little later. Fatehpur Sadar police station ASI Ramdev Singh said the first road accident occurred near Hardayalpura village on the Fatehpur-Bikaner highway. The truck driver was also injured in the accident. Both the injured were referred to Sikar. According to information, near Hardayalpura village, the speeding Thar vehicle collided with the truck while overtaking. The collision was so severe that the Thar vehicle was badly damaged and fell far off the road. Three youths were travelling in the Thar vehicle. Abrar, 23, a resident of Garinda, and Ejaz Ali, 29, a resident of Balod Bhakhra, died on the spot in the accident. Asif, a resident of Garinda, and trailer driver Suresh were referred to Sikar after treatment in injured condition. Police are investigating the case. The bodies of both the deceased have been kept in the hospital mortuary. Fatehpur police station officer Mahendra Kumar said that in the second accident, jeep driver Mahendra, a resident of Fatehpur, died in a collision with a public transport bus near Garinda. Three people were injured in the accident and have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
