Hisar: Three men were arrested for allegedly attempting to enter Satlok Ashram in Barwala on Hisar-Chandigarh Road (NH-52) late Saturday night. The ashram is linked to controversial godman Rampal. Security personnel deployed at the ashram caught one of the suspects, while the other two managed to escape into nearby fields, taking advantage of the darkness. Police later arrested both of them. The three were subsequently produced before a court, which remanded them to judicial custody.According to the police, head constable Ramesh Kumar and SPO Mahavir were on security duty and patrolling the ashram premises at around 11 pm when they heard suspicious noises near the boundary wall. As the security personnel approached, the three men allegedly attempted to flee by scaling the wall. The security staff managed to apprehend one suspect on the spot, while the other two escaped towards the fields.Police identified the man caught at the spot as Sonu alias Bugli, a resident of Barwala. During questioning, police identified the two absconding suspects as Sumit and Manoj. Barwala police subsequently conducted raids at their suspected hideouts and arrested both men. A case has been registered against all three under relevant provisions of law.
