Mumbai: Three men were arrested by Aarey Colony police—two of them repeat offenders— for breaking into an apartment at Goregaon East and looting ornaments worth Rs 2.5 lakh. The break-in was reported on Jan 18 at an apartment in Aarey Colony. After an FIR was registered, a police team under the supervision of senior inspector Ravindra Patil checked CCTV footage and activated the informants’ network. The accused—Anil Jimbal alias Albert (23), Abdul Rafiq Ansari alias Appu Khota (29) and Stalin Kaunder (29)—were tracked down and arrested. Kaunder has a criminal history of 20 offences, while Ansari has 40 offences, police said. TNN
