Ranchi: Railway Protection Force (RPF) seized 61kg of marijuana valued at around Rs 30.50 lakh during checking of the Sambalpur-Jammu Tawi Express at Ranchi railway station on Sunday, police said on Monday.A team carried out the raid under ‘Operation Narcos’ and arrested Ayush Singh (22), Prince Kumar (21), and Ankit Pathak (19), all from Buxar district of Bihar.The RPF said, “The accused were sitting in a coach with four trolley bags and three backpacks. During questioning, they admitted to carrying the drugs in their bags. All of them were taken down from the train at Namkum station. They were handed over to the govt rail police for further legal action.”4 held with brown sugarFour persons were arrested with brown sugar during operations carried out under Argora and Sukhdevnagar police station limits of the city on Sunday, police said on Monday. While Aniket Agrawal, Kumud Choubey and Ankush Choubey were held with 16.43 grams of brown sugar in Vidyanagar Colony under Sukhdevnagar police station, Sandip Dey (34) was arrested with 3.54 grams of brown sugar during a raid at Harmu ground under Argora PS, police said. All the accused persons have been forwarded to jail, police added.
