Hisar: Three cops had a narrow escape after a Dial 112 emergency response vehicle of Odhan police station caught fire while patrolling near Ramgarh village in Sirsa district late Saturday night.The police team, including the driver, was returning to Odhan after attending an emergency call when sparks emerged from the bonnet on the Ramgarh-Rajpura road. Despite the driver’s attempt to stop, the fire quickly engulfed the vehicle. All three policemen jumped out and escaped unhurt.Fire brigade and police teams rushed to the spot after the incident was reported. However, the vehicle was completely gutted by the time the teams arrived.A short circuit is suspected to have caused the fire, though police said the exact cause was being investigated.
