Malda: A 26-year-old man was hacked to death in Malda’s Mothabari on Friday evening. Cops say the slain Nasiruddin Ahmed, alias Nasir, had a criminal background and had been jailed earlier. Nasir’s brother Mohsin claimed a financial dispute led to the murder.Locals said Nasir was attacked by some gun-wielding attackers on Friday evening. They shot at Nasir and chased him to a sweet shop where he was attacked with sharp weapons. Severely injured, Nasir was taken to hospital, where he was declared dead.Nasir allegedly had a dispute with the sweet-shop owner over Rs 80,000.
