Guwahati: A 25-year-old student was found dead near Jaluk Paham waterfall in Garbhanga Reserve Forest on Monday.The deceased, identified as Nikhil Jha of Fatasil Ambari, was a computer science student and originally hailed from Bihar. Police said Jha went to the waterfall with four friends on Sunday.Around 5 pm, while returning, he went down to the waterfall basin to wash his motorcycle helmet, slipped and fell into the water. He went missing soon after.Hemkanta Sarma, sub-inspector at Rani police outpost, said it was a case of drowning and ruled out foul play.Jha’s body was recovered around noon on Monday and sent for an autopsy.
