Status: Not ApprovedHEAD: 24_Jai_RJS_1058 units served notices statewideByline: Rajendra sharmaHead line..1058 units served notices statewideAlwar:After an explosion at an illegal firecracker factory in Khushkheda in Khairthal-Tijara district that killed eight people, a joint team of factories is conducting an investigation.Following deficiencies found during inspections, notices have been issued to operators of 1,058 factories.The investigation committee formed by Khairthal District Collector Artika Shukla is carrying out extensive inspections of units operating in Bhiwadi and surrounding industrial areas.Additional District Collector Bhiwadi Sumitra Mishra said the committee submitted a report after inspections by teams formed by various departments from 17 February to 23 February 2026, in which deficiencies were found.During the investigation, a total of 2,515 industrial units were inspected by RIICO First, RIICO Second, Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board, Factory and Boilers Department, Labour Department and Nagar Parishad Bhiwadi (Fire Department). Of these, notices were issued to 1,058 units for violating departmental standards.In department-wise inspections, RIICO First inspected 512 units and issued notices to 106, RIICO Second issued notices to 217 out of 586, Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board issued notices to 47 out of 563, and Factory and Boilers Department issued notices to 194 units out of 303. The Labour Department inspected 85 units and issued two notices, while the Fire Department of Nagar Parishad Bhiwadi inspected 466 units and issued 392 notices.Sumitra Mishra said the inspection process of the remaining industrial units is still ongoing, and all concerned departments have issued notices as per rules for violations of their respective departmental standards.The district administration is conducting the special inspection campaign to ensure compliance with safety, pollution control and labour standards in industrial units.The date string “17 February to 23 February 2026” follows the correct month date format, with the month spelled out and followed by a numerical date.
