Biharsharif: Cyber cell police returned 22 lost cellphones worth over Rs 4.16 lakh to their rightful owners of Chandi police station area in Nalanda on Wednesday. The recovery drive was carried out under ‘Operation Muskan’.The recovered phones were handed over during a programme organised on the premises of Chandi police station in the presence of Hilsa DSP Kumari Shailja. Police said the phones were traced using technical surveillance and cyber tracking. Several beneficiaries said they had almost lost hope of getting their devices back.Speaking on the occasion, DSP Kumari Shailja said Bihar Police was continuously working to address the problems of common people. Chandi SHO Akhilesh Kumar Jha appealed to citizens to promptly report cases of lost phones at the police station and on the cybercrime portal to improve recovery chances.
