Times News NetworkKanpur: A 21-year-old girl sustained injuries after being attacked by stray dogs in Kalyanpur. Bystanders intervened, driving the dogs away and rescued the girl. The situation intensified following a complaint lodged against a woman who feeds the dogs. The family has formally approached the police, requesting action and preventive measures.Jai Srivastava, a resident of Awas Vikas, is employed at a private firm. He reported that his daughter, Tannu, while returning home with her cousin was attacked by a pack of 10 to 12 dogs near their house, resulting in multiple injuries.Upon hearing her screams, nearby residents rushed to the scene, using sticks to drive the dogs away, and subsequently sent Tannu to the Community Health Centre for medical attention. DCP West SZ Qasim Abidi stated that the incident will be investigated and necessary actions will be implemented. “Besides, they will ask authorities to check the stray dog menace,” added DCP.
