NEW DELHI: A 20-year-old man was found dead on Saturday with injuries in a park in northeast Delhi’s New Usmanpur area, officials said. The police registered a murder case and launched a search for the accused.Police said they received information in the morning about an injured man lying inside the DDA park near Jag Pravesh Chandra (JPC) Hospital.A police team rushed to the spot and found the man in a grievously injured condition. He was immediately shifted to JPC Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead, they said.The deceased was later identified as Toheed (20), a resident of New Seelampur.A forensic team inspected the crime scene and collected evidence to ascertain the sequence of events and identify those involved, police said.Based on the initial findings, a case under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), pertaining to murder, has been registered at New Usmanpur police station.Police said that multiple teams have been formed to trace and apprehend the accused persons. They added that investigators have developed some leads and are working to crack the case at the earliest.Further investigation is underway, police added.(With inputs from PTI)
