Hyderabad: Two young girls sustained minor injuries after their car suffered a sudden tyre burst and rammed into the median near CVR Junction in Film Nagar in the early hours of Monday.According to Banjara Hills inspector S Suhasan, the vehicle belonged to a second-hand car dealer Mudassir. He said the car was given to his friends Kausar and Tasleem, who were travelling in it at the time of the incident.The mishap occurred around 5:20am when the car reportedly suffered a tyre burst near the junction. The sudden tyre failure caused Kausar, who was at the wheel, to lose control, following which the vehicle rammed into the road median. The impact was strong enough to cause significant damage to the front portion of the car, and the vehicle partially mounted on to the divider after the collision.Despite the severity of the crash, both occupants sustained only minor injuries. The airbags deployed on impact, which helped prevent serious injuries. They were shifted to a nearby hospital, where they received treatment and were later discharged.The damaged car came to a halt across the other side of the carriageway, briefly disrupting traffic movement in the area. Police later managed to remove the vehicle and clear the road, restoring normal traffic flow.Officials confirmed that the occupants were not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. A formal complaint regarding the incident was yet to be registered, and authorities said further action would be taken after reviewing the details of the case.
