Gaya: Two wild elephants strayed into Ganni Pipra village under Fatehpur block in Gaya district on Monday morning. The animals are suspected to have got separated from their herd while moving through forest areas along the Bihar-Jharkhand border.On receiving information, Fatehpur BDO Shashibhushan Sahu, CO Amita Sinha and Gurpa forest range officer Rajnish Kumar reached the village with their teams. No damage or injuries have been reported so far.“Forest department teams are closely monitoring the elephants’ movement and efforts are underway to guide them safely back into the forest. Villagers have been advised not to approach the animals, avoid making noise and keep children away from the area,” Kumar said.
