Varanasi: Two women, who appeared in UP Board exam 2025 as solvers for other candidates, were arrested in joint action of STF and Gambhirpur police in Azamgarh district on Tuesday. Six accused had already been arrested from the spot, but these two managed to dodge police for a year.Azamgarh SP Anil Kumar said that during a drive to ensure copying-free UP Board examination in 2025, a joint team of STF and local police conducted a raid at Pandit Kamta Prasad Inter College, Mudhar Thekma, under Gambhirpur police station area, on Mar 6, 2025. During the raid, police found impersonators writing the exam in place of enrolled candidates by tampering with photos on Aadhaar cards.Officials said with progress in investigation, involvement of school manager Vijay Tiwari and principal Babita Tiwari was exposed for allegedly facilitating candidates to appear in exam using impersonators for a huge amount of money. After it, FIR was lodged and six accused were arrested from the spot, while others fled.Priyanka Pal and Seema were arrested by Gambhirpur police from their homes on Tuesday.
