Kolkata: One man has been arrested for allegedly snatching a 5.5g gold chain from a 65-year-old woman, Niva Middya, in Survey Park on Friday. The partner of the accused Manirul Shah, is on the run. The stolen chain could not be recovered as it was taken away by the fleeing accomplice, said cops. In her complaint Middya said that as soon as she realised the chain was gone from her neck, she raised an alarm. This prompted the others present in the area to chase the suspects.An investigation is on to nab the other accused. tnn
