AGRA: Not satisfied with answers given by two primary school students in the class, a teacher at a private school in Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura made two boys of Class 2 and Class 3 – both cousins — stand in the sun without their shirts on, made them squat in rooster pose and thrashed them with a plastic pipe.
Further, the students, aged 9 and 10 years, were paraded around the school premises and humiliated in front of other teachers and students.
BSA Ratan Kirti told TOI that a notice has been served to the school, and a team has been formed, led by block education officer Narendra Tomar, to conduct an inquiry into the matter.
As per the complaint by Neeraj Kumar, the horrific incident happened at Brajdham Public School in Govardhan police station area on May 15. One of the boys is a Class 3 student while the other is a year junior to him.
The children narrated their ordeal to their parents after returning home, triggering outrage among family members. When the parents reached the school, all the officials had already left.
