NEW DELHI: Two women were killed and three others, including two children, injured when their SUV collided with a container truck on the Delhi–Meerut Expressway on Thursday morning.The two women, identified as Deepanjali (38) and Neelam Garg (55), were declared dead at the scene. One victim was found outside the vehicle, while the other was trapped in the front left passenger seat.The driver, Deepanshu Garg, along with two minor children, Vivan (5) and Vashu (3), sustained injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment. Police received information about the accident at around 6:43 am near the MCD Toll on NH-9, in front of the Vinod Nagar Depot in Delhi. Officers rushed to the scene immediately. Preliminary investigations revealed that the car, coming from the Ghaziabad side, crashed into a container truck near the toll booths. A crime team inspected the site, and after completing legal formalities, the bodies were sent to LBS Mortuary for post-mortem examination.
