Rewari: Two inmates escaped from the hi-tech jail in Rewari on March 27 but were arrested within 24 hours, officials said. The escape came to light during the evening headcount, following which a police complaint was filed.The inmates were identified as Faizan (22) of Rampur and Zahid (21) of Etawah, both facing trial in cyber fraud cases. Preliminary findings showed they used a construction ladder to scale the jail wall. DG (Prisons) Alok Mittal ordered the suspension of seven jail staff. Senior officials inspected the jail and reviewed security arrangements.
