Kolkata: Two men died after consuming an unidentified liquid during a drinking bout in South 24 Parganas’ Joynagar on Thursday evening. Cops said there was no evidence so far to establish that the deaths were linked to spurious or illicit liquor.Three men were taken to Padmerhat Hospital after they fell ill following the drink. While Sanjoy Halder was declared brought dead, the other two were shifted to Baruipur subdivisional hospital, where another died.A preliminary probe revealed that the trio had earlier consumed liquor purchased from a licensed FL shop near Baharu. Later, while sitting near a poultry farm, they allegedly consumed an unidentified liquid from a bottle lying there.
