Authorities said the campaign against illegal mining and unauthorised stone-crushing operations will continue

Ranchi: District authorities launched a major crackdown on illegal stone mining and stone-crushing units in Chutupalu and Ormanjhi areas on Saturday, taking action against 19 stone crushers during a joint enforcement drive conducted in compliance with Jharkhand high court directions. Eight crushers were sealed after their consent to operate (CTO) had lapsed, while 11 illegally operating units were demolished, the information and public relations department said in a statement. The drive was conducted in the presence of revenue and police officers. Authorities said the campaign against illegal mining and unauthorised stone-crushing operations will continue.
