NEW DELHI: A 16-year-old juvenile was apprehended for allegedly shooting a boy in the head in Southeast Delhi’s Amar Colony, police said.According to police sources, the juvenile had previously been involved in another shooting incident in Kalkaji. Police are also searching for at least two of his associates. “The apprehended suspect is believed to be the shooter and is being questioned about the motive behind the attack and the source of the firearm,” sources said.The incident was reported around 7.54pm on Tuesday.According to a senior police officer, the Class XII student was eating with a female friend when a group of youths brushed past his chair. One of them allegedly stared at the pair, prompting the student to object. The group initially left, with one of the youths saying, “koi baat nahi” (never mind), but returned about five minutes later and opened fire at close range.Police said one round was fired. The injured student was rushed to the AIIMS Trauma Centre and remains in critical condition. The girl escaped unhurt but is said to be in shock, police added.
