Keonjhar: Keonjhar police have busted an organised inter-state transformer theft racket and arrested 16 persons allegedly involved in stealing transformers, copper coils, aluminium and copper wires, and other electrical equipment from Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Angul, Dhenkanal and Cuttack districts. Police said the gang was linked to thefts at 20 locations in Keonjhar district alone. Special teams conducted raids in Duburi, Jajpur Road, Chandikhol, Barchana and Bhuban before apprehending the accused. They were later produced in a court.
