CHENNAI: The Union govt on Friday notified the appointment of 15 judges to Madras high court, which at present is working with just 51 judges, as against the sanctioned strength of 75.While a total of 24 names were recommended by the collegium of the Madras high court, initially 19 were cleared for notification. Now, only 15 have been notified by the Union govt, which has not clarified the status of the other recommended candidates.The 15 candidates cleared for appointment on Friday are: K Govindarajan, Rajnish Pathiyil, Natarajan Ramesh, GK Muthukumaar, Ramakrishnan Rajesh Vivekananthan, Sankaranarayanan Raveekumar, Nagarajan Dilip Kumar, Ellappan Manoharan, P Murugan, MD Sumathi, Shanmugam Karthikeyan, Baluchamy Murugesan, N Gunasekaran, S Alli and Thirumagal Chandrasekar.
