Bhubaneswar: Thirteen frontline personnel of 108 Emergency Ambulance Service in Odisha were felicitated at a reward and recognition ceremony here on Saturday for their dedication, professional competence and humanitarian service during critical emergencies. The awardees included six emergency medical technicians, four ambulance pilots and three emergency response officers.The 108 Emergency Medical Ambulance Service is operated under the Integrated Patient Transport and Health Helpline Services programme of the National Health Mission, Odisha, and is provided free of cost to citizens. A fleet of 860 ambulances, comprising 449 Basic Life Support and 411 Advanced Life Support vehicles, serves all 30 districts of the state.
