GURGAON: A 12-year-old boy died on Tuesday after falling from the 12th floor of a flat in Gurgaon’s Anmol Society.The incident took place while the boy was playing with other children on the balcony of his home in the society, news agency PTI reported.After receiving information about the incident, the Bhondsi police reached the spot and inspected the scene.A senior police officer said the matter is being investigated from all angles.According to police, Rahul, son of Rudra Sharma and a resident of Anmol Society, was playing with other children on the balcony of his family’s 12th-floor flat on Tuesday afternoon when he suddenly lost his balance and fell.The fall occurred so suddenly that family members inside the house were unaware of what had happened.Neighbours later informed the family, following which the relatives rushed to the spot.The child was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead, police added.“We handed over the body to kin after the postmortem. A further probe into the matter is underway”, said a senior police officer.(With agency inputs)
