Patna: Govt on Wednesday transferred 12 senior IPS officers and 53 DSPs. Several officers posted in key units, districts and police headquarters have been assigned new responsibilities.A notification in this regard was issued by the state home department. The key transfers include Prita Verma, who has been shifted as DG of Home Guard and Fire Services; Pankaj Kumar Darad, who has been transferred from ADG, Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), to ADG-cum-CMD, Bihar Police Building Construction Corporation Ltd (BPBCCL) and Sudhanshu Kumar, who has been shifted from ADG, Law and Order, with additional charge of Traffic, to ADG, Traffic. He has also been given additional charge of Special Vigilance Unit (SVU).Meanwhile, Rajesh Kumar Sharma, formed Jagdishpur SDPO named in the Bharat Bhushan Tiwari encounter case, who was earlier put on line duty, has now been transferred as DSP, Prohibition and State Narcotics Control Bureau (SCRB), Patna. An FIR for murder was registered against SDPO Rajesh Sharma, SHO Rajesh Malakar and other police personnel based on the statement of Bharat’s mother. The family has been demanding the arrest of the accused policemen.Prita Verma, 1991-batch, was earlier posted as DG-cum-CMD of BPBCCL. Nirmal Kumar Azad (1994-batch), currently DG (Training), has been given additional charge of DG, Prohibition and State Narcotics Control Bureau.Amrit Raj (1998-batch), currently posted as ADG of Cyber Crime and Security Unit (CCSU), has been shifted as ADG of ATS, while K S Anupam (1998-batch) has been given responsibility of ADG (Law and Order). She will also hold additional charge of CID (Weaker Sections).Rajesh Kumar (2003-batch) has been transferred from IG, Bihar Human Rights Commission, to IG, Special Task Force (STF). Pankaj Kumar Raj (2006-batch) has been made IG (Rail).S Premlatha (2006-batch) has been transferred from IG, Prohibition and State Excise Control Bureau, to IG, Bihar Special Armed Police (BSAP).Garima (2022-batch) has been moved from SDPO-II, Kahalgaon, in Bhagalpur, to commandant, BSAP-9, Jamalpur, in Munger district.Shivam Dhakad (2022-batch) has been transferred from SDPO-1, Danapur, to Rural SP, Madhubani. Komal Meena (2023-batch) has been shifted from SDPO-1, Masaurhi, to SDPO-II, Law and Order, Patna.According to the notification, 53 DSP-level officers have been given new postings in the Economic Offences Unit, Special Branch, Bihar Police Academy, District Police Headquarters, training institutes and various districts. Some officers have been moved from field postings to headquarters or training units, while others have been given charge of key investigation units after promotions.Notable DSPs’ transfers include Lalbabu Yadav, who has been made assistant director, Bihar Police Academy, Rajgir. Paras Nath Sahu has been shifted from the post of SDPO-II, Sadar, Khagaria, to Addl SP (ASP), Economic Offences Unit (EOU), Patna.Sumit Kumar has been made ASP at Bihar Police headquaters, Patna. Shankar Kumar Jha has been shifted to DSP in CID, Patna. Abhishek Singh has been posted as DSP, BSAP-3, Bodh Gaya.Gautam Sharan Omi has been made DSP, Vigilance Investigation Bureau (VIB), Patna. Sarvesh Chandra has been made DSP in Cyber Crime and Security Unit, Patna.Anuradha Singh has been shifted as DSP in Cyber Crime and Security Unit, Patna, while Sweety Singh has been made DSP in EOU, Patna.
