Gurgaon: A 10-year-old boy and a 45-year-old scrap shop worker were killed after an unidentified vehicle allegedly hit their two-wheeler near Sector 99 under Dwarka Expressway early Tuesday.The boy, Amjad, son of scrap dealer Ghulamuddin, was from Bareilly, UP. The other victim, Shahadat, also from UP, worked at Ghulamuddin’s scrap shop beneath Dwarka Expressway.According to a police officer, “Shahadat had received a call informing him that his father had died in his native village. He had come to collect clothes from the shop before leaving for his village, and Amjad accompanied him on the two-wheeler.”“Police said they received information about the two deaths through a govt hospital after a call was made to the emergency helpline 112. The victims were taken to hospital by bystanders and were declared dead on arrival,” the officer stated.Ghulamuddin, Amjad’s father, filed a complaint at Sector 10A police station, following which police registered a case for rash driving, death by negligence and mischief under BNS.
