Kolkata: The Kolkata-Sairang Express, scheduled to depart on Tuesday, has been cancelled while five other north Bengal-bound trains from Howrah, Sealdah and Kolkata have been diverted. The trains, scheduled to depart on Tuesday and Wednesday, will be diverted via Bandel, Katwa, Azimganj and Farakka, Eastern Railway said.The cancellation and diversions were required because of a block on the up line at New Farakka between 10 am and 3 pm on both days.The Tuesday trains to be diverted are Sealdah-Sabroom Kanchanjungha Express, Kolkata-Haldibari Superfast Express and Howrah–Radhikapur Kulik Express. Kulik Express will be diverted on Wednesday as well, along with the Silchar Kanchanjungha Express.
