Gujarat deputy chief minister Harsh Sanghavi inviting entrepreneuers

Vadodara: Gujarat deputy chief minister Harsh Sanghavi disbursed financial assistance of Rs 1,432 crore to 12,908 entrepreneurs in the city ahead of the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC).Inviting entrepreneurs to participate in the conference, Sanghavi, who handles the industries portfolio, said such regional investor meets have already been held in Mehsana, Rajkot and Surat. He added that the state govt distributes financial assistance to eligible beneficiaries before each conference.“Earlier, Rs 905 crore was disbursed in Mehsana, Rs 956 crore in Rajkot and Rs 1,344 crore in Surat (to entrepreneurs ahead of regional conferences). The distribution of Rs 1,432 crore in Vadodara, the highest, reflects the district’s strong industrial development,” Sanghavi said.The conference for central Gujarat will be held over two days, starting on June 29 at GSFC University in Vadodara. “The beneficiaries include 9,171 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs),” an official statement said.Addressing a meeting with representatives of industrial associations regarding the fourth VGRC in Vadodara, Sanghavi said the new industrial policy introduced by the Gujarat govt has made the state an attractive destination among domestic and foreign investors.
