Kharagpur: A 24-year-old Beldanga resident was handed over to his family after his sensational claims that two men had pushed him off a moving train near West Midnapore’s Bakhrabad station were found to be inconsistent. The youth, his family said, was battling psychological disorder.Sk Manarul, who reached Belda police station on Sunday morning, had told police that two men asked him about his citizenship and sought his Aadhaar and PAN cards. Manarul said that the duo then pushed him off the express train, calling him a Bangladeshi. Manarul said the fall left him with severe injuries.A medical examination at Belda Superspecialty Hospital, revealed no injury marks on his body. Investigators also found that Manarul had changed three trains and was fined by a TTE. They suspect that he jumped off the train upon seeing a TTE.Manarul’s father Azad Sheikh and cousin Piarul Sheikh arrived at Kharagpur after being informed by cops. Confirming that Manarul was battling a mental disorder, Piarul said “Manarul works as a mason in Bengaluru. He got off the train at Visakhapatnam and the boarded the Humsafar Express. He called to say he did not feel good and got off a Bakhrabad. There was no attack on him.”
