A 23-year-old private company employee died by suicide at his residence in Yelahanka New Town Thursday afternoon.The deceased, Abhishek, hailed from Tirumalanagar in Yelahanka New Town. Police recovered a death note written in English from the scene. “Abhishek was in love with a girl, but her family opposed their relationship. When she declined to marry him, he took this extreme step,” authorities said.Based on a complaint filed by Abhishek’s younger brother, police have registered a case of unnatural death. Labourer rapes minor, heldA 25-year-old daily wage worker from Bihar was arrested Thursday on charges of raping an 11-year-old girl in Jnanabharati in West Bengaluru.The accused is Mohammed Munna. Based on the complaint filed by the girl’s parents, police booked Munna under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, and arrested him. “According to the girl’s mother, she saw her daughter carrying Rs 150 with her Wednesday night. When questioned, the girl said Munna, after abusing her, handed over the money, asking her not to disclose the matter to anyone,” police said.Court defers order in murder case The special court for elected representatives in city Thursday adjourned to April 15 the orders on the murder case, involving Vinay Kulkarni, Congress MLA Dharward Rural.
