Kolkata: A youth, reportedly a member of the Trinamool youth wing, was brutally attacked in what locals claimed was an internal party conflict near Beadon Street on Tuesday. Santu Haldar, was assaulted with bricks, iron rods, and glass bottles. Locals said the attack stemmed from an ongoing rivalry between Haldar and a fellow party functionary. The victim had to get 39 stitches on his face and head. Doctors said he is in ICU. tnn
