Bengaluru: The body of a 34-year-old woman was found stuffed inside a bag and dumped in a garbage truck parked near a skating ground in Banashankari IInd Stage on Sunday morning. Police suspect the deceased to be Pushpa, also known as Asha, a resident of the Venugopal Nagar slum in Hulimavu.The body was found around 2am by a resident who had gone to dispose of waste and noticed the suspicious bag in the truck. He immediately alerted police. Chennammanakere Achukattu police have registered a case of murder and begun investigation.Initially, police had no leads on the woman’s identity. However, CCTV footage from the area revealed a man transporting the body in a bag on the footrest of a scooter and dumping it into the garbage truck, helping investigators piece together the crime.According to preliminary findings, Pushpa was employed as housekeeping staffer in a private firm. She was the mother of two children and had been separated from her husband. Police said she was in a relationship with a man from another religion, though it remains unclear whether they were married or living together.Investigators believe the two were together at a house on Saturday evening until around 9.30pm. Sometime after that, the man is suspected to have strangled her with a rope and later disposed of her body under the cover of night.The motive for the killing is still under investigation, and police are making efforts to trace the suspect.
