Kanpur: Marital dispute took a tragic turn when a woman hanged herself while her husband consumed poison and was admitted to LLR Hospital in a critical condition in the Senpashchim Para police station area, on Tuesday night. The woman’s family had accused her husband and in-laws of harassment.According to reports, Prinshi, 25, daughter of Ganga Nishad, resident of Kadaura Ikauna in Jalaun district was married six years ago to Kishan Nishad, originally resident of Hamirpur district, who lived on rent in Gopal Nagar. The couple had two daughters, Kavya and Lavi.According to the family, the couple had frequent fights and Ganga Nishad had filed a report against Kishan. Late Tuesday evening, another tiff broke out between the couple, following which Prinshi hanged herself.On seeing his wife hanging from the noose, Kishan consumed a poisonous substance, after which his condition deteriorated. Hearing the cries of their daughters, neighbours informed police and family members. The body was brought down while Kishan was admitted to LLR Hospital, where his condition remained critical.The postmortem conducted through a panel and videography confirmed death by hanging Prinshi’s father accused the husband and in-laws of harassment. Senpashchim Para police station in charge Pradeep Singh said the woman committed suicide after dispute with her husband. A report will be registered and action will be taken based on written complaint of the family members.
