Chennai: Two days after a 37-year-old woman was found murdered on the terrace of her house, police arrested her 34-year-old cousin Karthik. Police said the deceased, Pushpa of Senthamizh Nagar Extension in Ramapuram, had separated from her husband. On Wednesday, she was found dead on the terrace of her home. As she was last seen with Karthik, a tailor from Valasaravakkam, police searched for him. He had, however, absconded. On Friday, he was traced down in Tiruvannamalai and was arrested. Police said Karthik and Pushpa were in a relationship, and they quarrelled over the inclusion of Pushpa’s estranged husband’s name in a wedding invitation. During a heated argument, Karthik hit Pushpa and killed her.
