Chandigarh: Hot conditions are set to intensify in Chandigarh as the maximum temperature is expected to cross the 30°C mark from Tuesday and remain elevated for the next few days.According to the latest weather bulletin issued by the Meteorological Centre, Chandigarh recorded a maximum temperature of 29.5°C over the past 24 hours, which is 4.4°C above normal. The weather remained dry. The 5-day forecast indicates mainly clear to partly cloudy skies. The maximum temperature is likely to range between 30°C and 33°C from March 3 onwards, while the minimum temperature may hover between 15°C and 18°C. The mercury is expected to gradually rise, touching around 32°C-33°C later this week. With dry weather conditions prevailing and no significant rainfall predicted, daytime heat is likely to intensify. The rise in temperature signals the beginning of warmer pre-summer conditions in the city. Authorities advised residents to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun during peak afternoon hours as temperatures continue to climb in the coming days.
