Kolkata: The total electoral roll for the first phase in Bengal stands at 36077171 (3.60 crore) on Saturday, among which 18499496 (18.49 crore) are men and 17577210 (17.57) are women. Altogether, 465 transgenders are in this list.
Altogether 152 Constituencies will go to polls in the first phase of assembly polls in Bengal on April 23.
Among the total electors going to polls in the first phase, Murshidabad, which is a minority-dominated district, has highest number of voters, stands at 5,02,6213 (50.26 lakh), followed by Purba Medinipur, which is 4,16,0154 (41.60 lakh).

Total number of voters in Malda stands at 27,91,736 (27 lakh plus), which is also a minority dominated district.
Meanwhile, 12 IPS officers have been transferred by ECI, in addition to 18 OCs under Kolkata Police and 29 OCs and ICs under West Bengal Police.
