Krishnagiri: Deadly weapons, including long knives, machetes and other sharp weapons, were found in a plastic bag abandoned along the main road near Uddanapalli in Hosur on Tuesday, triggering fear among villagers.A few locals noticed the suspicious looking plastic bag near a bush on the roadside. They found the weapons on checking the bag and alerted Uddanapalli police, who seized the weapons. Police are investigating the source of the weapons. “It is likely that the weapons were discarded amidst intensive vehicle checks in the area,” said a police officer with Uddanapalli station. Police are examining CCTV camera footage in the area in attempts to identify the people who discarded the weapons.
