Ranchi: Water supply will be disrupted in some city areas on Monday and Tuesday due to pipeline shifting work for the 1.25-km Siramtoli-Bahubazar flyover project, the Jharkhand Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation (JUIDCO) informed on Saturday. It added that the temporary suspension will facilitate removal of the old pipeline, laying of a new line, and its connection to the main supply network. Residents in the affected areas have been advised to store sufficient water in advance. The work is part of the ongoing flyover construction linking Siramtoli Chowk, Mecon Chowk, Yogoda Satsang Math, Bahubazar, Kantatoli and Kokar. Officials said the pipeline work is being undertaken after the conclusion of Sarhul and Ram Navami to minimise public inconvenience. The project is being executed by JUIDCO to expedite infrastructure development in the city.
