Vadodara: Water is being released from two dams in Panchmahal district after they received consistent inflows into their reservoirs. Residents of villages downstream of the dams have been told to exercise caution due to the discharge. Water was released from the Panam and Hadaf dams in Panchmahal district to maintain their rule levels. Sources said the catchment area of these dams received lots of rain in the last couple of days, leading to steady inflows into these dams. The release rate at the Panam dam is 3,747 cusecs while 1,200 cusecs was being released from the Hadaf dam. Controlled release from these dams was done earlier as well after heavy rain in their catchment areas.
