Lucknow: UP Special Task Force arrested a gangster wanted in a Gonda district carrying a Rs 50,000 reward under Gangster Act case. The accused, identified as Ritik Singh alias Billu, was arrested from Haryana after a sustained intelligence-led operation, officials said on Saturday.Billu, son of Nandpal Singh, resident of Kali Singh Purwa village, Madhaipur, Khonderai area under Parsapur police station in Gonda district was residing in Yamunanagar, district of Haryana. He was wanted in a case registered at Parsapur police station in Gonda district under Section 3(1) of the Gangster Act. The arrest was on Feb 7, from Rajawala Bagh, under Jagadhri police station limits in Yamunanagar. The operation was part of statewide crackdown on wanted and reward-carrying criminals. Multiple STF teams and field units were directed to intensify intelligence collection and take action against absconding offenders.A team led by Inspector Omshankar Shukla, along with SI Pratap Narayan Singh, head constables Dilip Yadav, Kuldeep Singh, Girja Shankar Yadav, Shivbhola Shukla, and driver head constable Suresh Singh, arrested Billu.During interrogation, his gang comprising Malkhan Singh, Zakir, Rizwan, Sunny, Yogesh and Ankit broke into a liquor shop in Lakshanpurwa Deharas and stole cash. He admitted involvement in another theft at a beer shop in Dharmnagar and disclosed he was planning another burglary at a liquor shop in Mohna when police action disrupted their plans.Police records reveal that Billu has multiple criminal cases registered against him at Parsapur police station, Gonda.
