Jharkhand Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) K Ravi Kumar has said that voters whose mapping from the previous intensive revision of the electoral roll to the current electoral roll has not been completed yet can contact the BLO of their polling station using the “Book A Call” feature of ECINET.He said this while holding an online review meeting with the Deputy Electoral Officers of all districts from Nirvachan Sadan a few days ago.“For any assistance related to mapping in the electoral roll, voters should contact their BLO using the “Book A Call” feature of ECINET,” he said while speaking to TOI.Book a call with your BLO feature strengthens voter services in Jharkhand. In Election Commission of India’s web portal ECINET, electors can schedule a call with their BLO regarding electoral roll-related queries and issues. Under this system, BLO must make return calls, listen to grievances, and provide resolution within 48 hours, the CEO explained.Through this feature, voters’ requests are addressed promptly through seamless communication between citizen and BLO, K Ravi Kumar said.This facility can also be availed by a new voter. He or she can directly get in touch with the Booth Level Officer (BLO) and even book a call with the BLO concerned. In case the BLO cannot take a voter’s call, then the BLO will call back the voter, K Ravi Kumar said.He also said that providing this service is extremely necessary to the voters and it is mandatory also.Further, the CEO also said that the work of pasting stickers containing information about the polling station BLO on the houses of voters should be expedited so that during the upcoming special intensive revision (SIR) of the electoral roll, all voters can easily contact their BLOs.The lists of Absent, Shifted, Death and Duplicate (ASDD) should be prepared for all polling stations, and in this process, it must be ensured that voters who previously resided at addresses of displaced or demolished houses are mandatorily recorded in the shifted list.K Ravi Kumar also said that while marking the houses of voters on the sketch map, their house numbers should be kept the same as their previously marked house numbers as far as possible. Notional numbers should be used only for marking those houses which do not have any house number at all.The Joint Chief Electoral Officer Subodh Kumar, Training Nodal Shri Dev Das Datta, Under Electoral Officer Sunil Kumar, along with Deputy Electoral Officers of all districts, were also present in the meeting, the CEO office said.
