Thiruvananthapuram: The funeral of Vipanchika, who were found dead along with her one-and-a-half-year-old child in Sharjah, was held in Kollam on Wednesday evening. The body, which was brought to the state capital earlier in the day, was taken to Thiruvananthapuram medical college hospital for a re-postmortem and later handed over to relatives.The body of one-and-a-half-year-old Vaibhavi was cremated in Sharjah last Thursday. The court in Sharjah had given custody of the child’s body to the father. Following this, cremation was done in Sharjah by Nitheesh, Vipanchika’s husband, at New Sonapur Cemetery in Jebel Ali. Both families attended the cremation.Vipanchika’s family, including her mother Shailaja, raised serious allegations against Nitheesh and his family over the deaths. On July 15, Vipanchika Manian (29), a native of Keralapuram in Kollam, and Vaibhavi were found dead in Al Nahda, Sharjah. A suicide note appeared on Vipanchika’s Facebook account, making serious allegations against her husband, sister-in-law Neethu and father-in-law Mohanan. However, this suicide note later disappeared from social media.
