Prayagraj: Panic gripped Miya Ka Pura and adjoining areas under the limits of Saraymamrez police station on Sunday following the death of a lineman identified as Babloo (28), a resident Gosaipur village who allegedly died on Saturday night after falling an electric pole while working.The family members and supporters placed the body of deceased on Phulpur -Vari route and blocked the vehicular movement for more than two hours, demanding compensation to the kin of the deceased. Police said that Babloo fell from the electric pole on May 17 and he succumbed to his injuries during the treatment at a hospital on Saturday night.The family members and supporters brought the body to village and placed it on the busy route. Upon being alerted, senior cops rushed the spot and pacified the agitators. The villagers and family members called off their agitation after holding talks with police and power department officials. The road blockade lasted two hours.
