He said Vidarbha today stands “at the core of India’s energy story,” highlighting Adani’s operations at Tiroda, where the group runs Maharashtra’s largest and most advanced 3,300 MW supercritical power plant, built to global standards of efficiency and environmental responsibility. He also referred to the revival of the 600 MW Butibori power plant in 2025, describing it as a demonstration of the group’s commitment to resolving stressed assets and strengthening power infrastructure. Through a 25-year supply agreement, Adani said the group now ensures 6,600 MW of dependable electricity for Maharashtra by combining solar generation from Khavda with thermal baseload supply. “This is the backbone supporting Maharashtra’s industries, its cities, and its digital economy,” he said.One of the group’s most significant commitments in Vidarbha is the Rs70,000 crore integrated coal gasification and downstream derivatives complex at Linga in Kalmeshwar. Adani said the project will create 30,000 direct jobs, build advanced chemical manufacturing capabilities, boost energy independence for critical industries, and place Nagpur on the global map of clean energy technologies. “This is not just an industrial venture — it is a new platform for national self-reliance,” he said.On logistics, he said Adani Group is strengthening Vidarbha’s role as a logistics gateway through a 75-acre inland container depot at Borkhedi and the acquisition of 24 border check posts across Maharashtra to reduce freight costs and boost exports. In aviation and defence, he said the acquisition of Indamer Technics Pvt Ltd expanded the group’s MRO complex at Mihan, positioning Nagpur as an emerging international centre for aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul.Adani also highlighted sustainability and community initiatives across Gondia and Nagpur, including healthcare, education, women’s empowerment, nutrition programmes, solar lighting, clean water, sports, and school development. “Vidarbha today shows how progress and sustainability can — and must — rise together,” he said, adding that the Adani Group stands ready as a long-term partner in the region’s growth.
